Issue 2

Saafir...

Saafir is a true character. We got this interview when things seemed to be about to kick in for him - some movie success (Menace II Society), a new album ("The Hitlist" - which had a great lead single, "Smartbomb") and a collaboration with Ras Kass and Xzibit (The Golden State Warriors). Nothing much seems to have come out of this period for him but he's still a king... And, yes, his battle against Casual from Heiroglyphics on the Wake Up Show is part of hip hop folklore.

Articles: Jungle Brothers, Ackshun Entertainment (Oiishi), Slingshot Touring, CautionWear (now OneLeg), The Islander (Crazy Mike), Hilltop Hoods (Kirk Wray), Mixmaster Mike, DJ QBert, Urban Expressions review, Mountain Brothers, Chris Lighty and Eric Nicks from Violator Management, Zombe, Rank, ESP, Shortee Blitz, Ireland Update, Reggae, Mystery looks at Christian hip hop, Bloxta's Reclaiming the Hardline.
